Owens Valley Unified School District - Measure “B”

Passed by Voters on November 8, 2005

Owens Valley Elementary was built in 1949 and the Owens Valley High School was built in 1968. While staff has done a good job of maintaining our schools over this time, old classrooms and facilities were in need of major repairs and upgrades. We needed to fix and modernize our schools so our children will have a safe and healthy learning environment and up-to-date school facilities.

The $2,600,000 Measure "B" OVUSD School Bond promised taxpayers that the district would use the funds to:

  • Repair and upgrade old outdated classrooms and school facilities
  • Improve student access to computers and modern technology by upgrading
  • electrical systems
  • Construct a cafeteria/multipurpose room for school and community use
  • Make necessary health and safety improvements and replace deteriorating roofs
